We got there about 30 minutes late (James came on at (9:30!!?!), but we caught just about every song I wanted to hear since they played for over 2 hours! Great show. They haven’t toured in the U.S.A. for about 10 years. Tim Booth even said something along the lines of “I’m afraid we’re at a loss as to what songs you know”… I used my new camera…I’m still getting the hang of it, as you can tell from the pictures below.
Third row seats, nice cool night. The National must have come on at 6:45…I got there at 7:15 and missed their entire set. Modest Mouse was MUCH more energetic than the set I saw last summer (same venue).
REM was just about perfect. Well balanced set list, lots of energy and THIRD ROW! I finally remembered to bring my digital camera, now that the venue has pretty much given up on controlling them.
